RVA Fashion Week did it again. This was the 10th year anniversary and the went big. From the selection of designers & boutiques, the venues and the production. I am always impressed with the presentation of these events. This year heading up the event the team consisted of Soliel Paden, Dominque Graves, Jameson Delotach, Michael Hostetler and a host of others .

During the week of course, the Dress for Success Central Virginia "Recycle the Runway" was showcased for Wednesday night event. This business is designed to help women  who may not be able to afford work attire the opportunity to be outfitted properly for work, I have modeled for this organization in the past and love the service that they provide the community. Please support them with donations and if you know of anyone in need click the link above,

Stony Point Fashion Park hosted the Friday night "New to RVA Designers Showcase and was a sponsor of the event. Friday nights events featured designers were Kinetic Styles, Sky Welkin, Talia Addie, Creation Lords, Vixxen, Rashaun Emanuel, Joshua Devon and Loy with Love. The designer  I modeled for at the Friday night event was Zeke of Sky Welkin. He's a local designer out of the Norfolk ,Virginia  and he is on his grind. Following the event he was on his way to DC. Can't stop his hustle. The hair for the event was sponsored and styled by Hacked Salon in the Stony Point Fashion Park. The makeup for the event was provided by Erika Nixon & Co.

This years venue for the finale was The Jefferson Hotel located in Richmond, Virginia. Every year RVA steps it up a notch with finding spectacular locations to host the finale This year was not different. Opening the event this year was one of my favorite designers Charissa Goerge toFreeyourStyle from  Louisa, Virginia. She designs convertible bridesmaids dress and bridal gowns. This is my second year as a model for her designs and she knocks it out the park every time. What I love most about her dresses is that I could where it to a any kind of event and feel comfortable, I love attire that can be multi-purposeful. If  I'm investing money in a garment, I want to be able to where it more than once.

Also, I modeled for a boutique called Iconic 7. Being a plus size model I love modeling clothes that fit, are affordable and are just my style. This piece from Iconic 7 was all that and then some. The owner Jennifer was amazing fitting my style and personality with the garment. I will be returning to her store in the Stony Point Fashion Park in Richmond, Virgina or you can check her out online by clicking her link.
Other designers and boutiques for the finale event were Angelia's Couture, House of LaPoshDestiny Howard, 707 Fine ClothingIconic 7Trunk UpTailor, Tangee's Closet and Ashby. If you would like to check out any of the designers and boutiques hit the link provided. Happy shopping!!
